Personal Development Plan

Personal Development Plan (PDP) is a guide I set for myself to track my improvements. In the PDP, I defined my definition of leadership, determined objectives to develop, and planned a timeline for completion.

Leadership Development Plan: Welcome

Personal Definition of Leadership

I have enrolled in the Leadership Certificate Program to motivate myself to become a better leader. Leadership skills are important in every aspect of personal, academic, and professional development. To achieve my vision, I need to not only lead myself but also influence my surroundings. I believe that learning to be a leader will not only make me a better leader but also a better person.

Leadership is a person's ability to gather the power of all to bring vision into reality. A leader can not only plan and manage but also influence and inspire. What kind of leader one will become depends on one's personal characteristics. For me, I want to be a leader with five core values, which are: authenticity, achievement, happiness, security, and wisdom. My core values represent who I am and show the person I want to be. They are important because they help me to stay true to myself and disregard the doubts in my mind. I would like to be honest, earn a position in society, be satisfied, be worriless, be active,  be able to hold on to my core values when resolving conflicts and uniting people together.

Leadership skills will assist me in learning comprehensively about my priorities, understanding my interpersonal performance, motivating me to make an impact, and finally bringing people together for a common vision.
